Violations not my fault
This device is beyond faulty. I've had numerous issues with it, including registering as a fail when I had no alcohol in my system due to not drinking. It's completely inconvenient in the winter when my car gets cold and it takes about 10 minutes for the device to warm up enough for me to blow into it and start my car. Today's instance was the absolute worst. The alternator in my car went out about a month and a half ago, but that doesn't matter because whether I can drive or not, I still have to pay for the interlock device to be serviced. My last service date was a few days before I finally got my car fixed. My mechanic installed a new belt in my car and I finally got the car running again and as soon as I did, I got a "service-lockout" warning on my device. Keep in mind my battery had been completely dead for at least a month. So I called Colorado Off-Road to have it serviced and when I went in I was told that the device registered that I had started the car by overriding it and had to pay 50 dollars and have a violation recorded against me with the DMV. I verified with my mechanic that at no time had he started my car without the blow start, and I submitted an invoice from my mechanic, but I still had to pay the money and have a violation recorded against me. The lady at Colorado Off-Road insisted that there was ABSOLUTELY no way the interlock would record that violation unless that was exactly what happened, but she is wrong and I am beyond angry.
